BEHIND THE LIGHTS
This map shows the scheduled public transport in the national OTP Namtang timetable that serves the Bangkok Metropolitan Region on Tuesday, 29 September 2026: BTS and MRT metro lines, the Airport Rail Link, the SRT Red Lines and SRT trains, city buses, vans and regional buses, and boats on the Chao Phraya and the khlongs. The region is Bangkok with Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, Samut Prakan, Samut Sakhon and Nakhon Pathom.
Most services in the feed are published as headways: a typical journey with approximate running times (marked as not exact, timepoint = 0) plus time windows such as “every 15 minutes from 05:00 to 21:00”. Each window is expanded into individual runs from its start, one headway apart, until before its end; every run keeps the template’s running times. That is why most times are shown with “≈”. SRT trains have explicit times. Calendar exceptions and runs from the previous evening still under way after midnight are included. There is no real-time data: no delays, traffic, cancellations or crowding.
timepoint = 0
At a stop the dot waits; between stops it moves at constant speed along the route’s published shape, with each stop matched in order along it. Acceleration, braking and traffic are not simulated.
All runs of this day in the feed with at least one stop in the region are processed. Vehicles appear and count only while inside the region. Identical runs listed twice by the same operator are shown once. The feed publisher does not guarantee complete or error-free coverage, and a run is not necessarily one physical vehicle.
By default the map shows metro, rail and boats plus the main bus routes: the busiest bus routes. Select “Bus” again for every bus, and “Van & regional” for vans, minibuses and regional buses; counts and the day curve follow the selection.
This Tuesday is a single timetable day, not a statistical average day.
